Spring AAA Hockey

06/02/09

By Kirby

Three players from the Dells Delton Hockey Association tried out and were rostered on the Western Wisconsin Blue Devils AAA Team.

The Blue Devil (1999) team played in three tournaments over the course of three months. They placed 1st, 2nd, and 2nd in these events. During this past weekend in the Battle of the Bays in Duluth, the Devils lost a very exciting championship game in OT to the Minn/Wisc Storm 4-5. The Storm scored it's winning goal with 7 seconds left in the first OT period.

Travis Slaght son of Mike and Kathy played forward for the Devils and scored a goal in it's OT loss to the Storm.

Garon Kirby son of Aaron and Amy played defense for the Devils. Garon was able to contribute a strong defensive showing for the Devils during the season.

Noah Fish son of Jim and Ann was rostered as an alternate for the season. Noah was able to practice and learn from the very knowledgable coaching staff.

All three boys will be playing as 2nd year Squirt this winter for the Blades. Good Luck boys, and we're all proud of you.
